Sib Payne is a Senior Clinical Optometrist in Hobart. She completed a Bachelor of Optometry at the University of Melbourne and a Masters in the same field from UNSW, and is endorsed to prescribe S4 ocular medications.
She has completed a Specialist Certificate in contact lens fitting and has a particular interest in looking after patients with keratoconus and other corneal disorders, as well as high myopes and children with progressing myopia. She works in a private independent optometry setting in Hobart and Claremont, as well as in the glaucoma clinic at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Sib has been involved in outreach optometry, including in a volunteer capacity since 2003 in East Timor, Samoa and Tuvalu, including training and mentoring the new generation of local Optometrists in East Timor.
Outside of optometry she loves travelling, eating out and going on adventures with her husband and two kids.
